Lucky Dog Accepted For The Alexandria Film Festival
Creative Liquid's documentary on Washington, DC-based Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is now an official selection for the 2011 Alexandria Film Festival. Lucky Dog will screen Sunday November 6 at 4pm at Your Dogs Best Friend in Alexandria, VA. Tickets and information are available on the Film Festival's website.
About the Festival:
The Alexandria Commission for the Arts and the Office of the Arts present the 5th annual Alexandria Film Festival November 3 – 6, 2011. The Festival brings high-quality short and feature length films, documentaries, filmmaker panels, and arts presentations to unique and historic venues throughout Alexandria, Virginia.
The festival is an intimate four-day celebration of film in historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, located a few miles from Washington, DC. The Festival highlights the talents of local, national, and international filmmakers. Alexandria is home to film producers and enthusiasts, arts patrons, members of Congress and their staff, corporate executives, and other influential groups. The city attracts many visitors and residents of the Washington metropolitan area who value its arts and history community. The Alexandria Film Festival aims to promote and support the artistry of filmmakers and provide an engaging experience for its audience.
About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue:
Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership. Lucky Dog does not have its own facility. Instead, our dogs stay with temporary fosters (and occasionally boarding partners) while they wait to find their forever home. We hold adoption events each week where you can see the Lucky Dogs strut their stuff, and we also arrange private meetings for adopters who fall in love with a pup’s internet photo. Our volunteers are more than just volunteers, and our dogs are more than just dogs. We are a family. And we welcome you to become a part!
